‘First Night’ Returns to Fullerton for 27th Year

'First Night' Returns to Fullerton for 27th Year

The 27th Annual "First Night Fullerton" will begin at 7:00 p.m. December 31, 2018 in Downtown Fullerton, and end with a spectacular firework show at midnight.

The New Years’ Eve celebration will feature plenty of entertainment, including live bands, zip lining, kids activities, food booths and much more. Admission is free to the public, but some activities may have additional fees.

The "First Night" program began in Boston in 1976 as a cap to the nation's bicentennial, but Fullerton was the first California city to offer the event to its community. The goal is to broaden public appreciation of the visual and performing arts while offering an alternative to the traditional New Year's Eve celebrations focused on alcohol.

For more information, contact the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545. Persons requiring special accommodations to attend "First Night" are asked to notify the museum staff prior to December 31.
