The Fullerton Community Center will host its annual flu clinic on Thursday, October 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 340 W. Commonwealth Avenue.
The flu vaccine is free to senior citizens 60 years of age and older, as well as to persons with high-risk health conditions. The clinic will offer shots to protect against the winter season’s flu strain.
This clinic will not offer the flu vaccine to people with current fevers or allergies to eggs. Appointments are not necessary.
The flu clinic is co-sponsored by the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department, St. Jude Medical Center, and the Orange County Health Care Agency.
A mini-craft and resource fair will also be available to the public during the flu clinic as an opportunity to support worthwhile service groups and get some holiday shopping out of the way.
Further information about the event may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Community Center senior programs hotline at (714) 738-6305. Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the flu clinic are asked to notify the Community Center prior to October 27.
