“Fullerton Return Home Registry” Focus of Community Center Program
Are you concerned that a loved one or friend may have a tendency to wander from familiar surroundings without anyone’s knowledge? Police officers often respond to callers requesting help in locating loved ones, and Fullerton’s Return Home Registry helps to combat this issue.
The Fullerton Community Center will host an informational meeting on Monday, April 25, at 10 a.m. with a presentation on the Fullerton Return Home Registry. The program utilizes a searchable database and vital information to help locate and reunite family members or caregivers.
Retired Lieutenant Patrick Thayer will be the keynote speaker, and will discuss how the registry program can help families and individuals who may be at risk due to illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and other debilitating illnesses and special needs.
To attend, individuals are asked to pre-register at the Community Center or call (714) 738-6305. For more information about the program, please call Sergeant Kathryn Hamel at (714) 738-6838.
The Fullerton Community Center is located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave. Persons requiring special accommodations to attend are asked to notify the Center prior to April 25.
