Learn the Art of Butterfly Gardening at Fullerton Library

On Monday, May 9, the Fullerton Public Library will feature Monika U. Moore, the “California Butterfly Lady,” for an evening lecture on how residents can start a butterfly garden at their home.

The event, “Butterflies in Your Garden,” will be held at 6 p.m., and attendees will learn about the lifecycle of monarch butterflies, how to attract them to a garden, ultimately helping to monitor the monarch movement in California. The lecture may also feature possible demonstrations with live chrysalises.

Since moving to Fullerton in 2002, Moore releases over 1,000 monarch butterflies each year, to help pollinate plant species throughout the region.

There is no registration required for this event. The Fullerton Public Library is located at 353 W. Commonwealth Ave. For more information, please call (714) 738-6326.
