Catch a Free Flick at the Fullerton Public Library

Looking to catch a good flick? The Fullerton Public Library has two, free, continuing movie series for the cinema lover-and you can bring your own snacks and beverages!

Held weekly, the Thursday Matinee Series offers classic, widely-enjoyed pictures from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Upcoming titles include:

  • March 3: Thelma and Louise (1999, R)
  • March 10: No film this day.

  • March 17: Underworld (2003, R)

  • March 24: The Hunger Games (2012, PG-13)

  • March 31: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015, R)

  • April 7: The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957, PG)

The popular Independent Film Series, which features limited release and more artistic productions, is held the first Wednesday of the each month beginning at 6 p.m. Upcoming films include:

  • March 2: The Water Diviner (2015, R)

  • April 6: Words and Pictures (2014, PG-13)

  • May 4: Mommy (2014, R)

The Fullerton Public Library is located at 353 W. Commonwealth Ave. The complimentary movies are held in the Osborne Auditorium. No registration is required.
