As the old saying goes-if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is-and yet, many Americans fall victim to sophisticated scams and ultimately pay a heavy price. To better educate the public, the Fullerton Community Center is offering a complimentary seminar, “BEWARE: Health Scams,” on Wednesday, February 24, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., to learn how to recognize the risks and avoid costly experiences.
Attendees will learn how to spot fraudulent prescription and supplement claims, recognize the misleading language, and how to report an incident. The free program is sponsored by the Adult Public Health Nursing Services.
