Fullerton “Snow Day” Promises Snow Balls, Snowmen, and Sledding
A winter wonderland is in store for Fullerton later this month! The forecast will be for snow on Saturday, January 30, when the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department hosts “Snow Day.”
“Snow Day” will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Brea Dam Recreation Area, 1700 N. Harbor Blvd., between the YMCA and Golfers’ Paradise. Parking and shuttles will be available at the parking structure behind the American Automobile Association building located at 1450 N. Harbor Blvd.
The event will feature three 75-foot sled runs, as well as a special toddler sled run for children five-years-old and under. There will also be a Kids’ Play Area, a “Blast Zone,” and crafts and games for a nominal fee. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Outside sleds and chairs are not allowed inside the event area as they will be provided by the City. In addition, children are advised to wear warm clothes and gloves.
Advance registration fee for the event including sleds are $12/person for Fullerton residents and $15/ person for non-residents. Children under 2 years of age will be admitted free. Admission will be $15/person for Fullerton residents and $18/person for non-residents the day of the event. Space is limited to 900 persons, and early registration is recommended
