Fullerton, Ca - The sounds of country music will be heard in downtown Fullerton Thursday, April 30, when the “Jann Browne Band” performs at the outdoor Fullerton Market.
The popular market, now in its 24th year of operation, is open from 4-8:30 p.m., and offers farm-fresh produce, flowers, fresh-baked breads, arts and crafts, food vendors, and live entertainment.
The market also features a beer and wine garden for adults and a Kids’ Korner, which offers special activities to keep children happy while their parents shop.
During warm weather, the Plaza’s pop jet fountain provides a great cooling-off spot for youngsters who are welcome to wear their swim suits.
Admission to the market is free.
Browne, a country music artist, has twice been named “Entertainer of the Year” by the California Country Music Association. Her first album, “Tell Me Why,” produced two Top 20 hits, and a number one video on CMT, the country music cable channel.
The band will perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Fullerton Market is located in the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue, adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center.
Visitors to Fullerton Market will also be able to tour the award-winning Fullerton Museum Center, which offers a special reduced admission rate of $2 per person from 4-8 p.m. on market days, the first Thursday of every month.
Parking for Fullerton Market may be found in any of the free downtown lots, or in the parking structures at Wilshire (enter from Harbor); Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue; and in the Transportation Center on Pomona and Santa Fe Avenue.
