Coney Island

Visions of an American Dreamland

Opening Reception: November 10, 2018
On display through January 6, 2019
For more than 150 years, Coney Island, a strip of sand at the mouth of New York Harbor, has occupied a singular place in the American imagination. This exhibition brings to life the excitement of Coney Island, showing visitors how its magnetic world of attractions has become a touchstone for American mass culture and popular recreation.

Leo Fender: Life and Legacy

Clarence Leo Fender was an unassuming man who couldn't play the guitar, yet his creations inspired generations of musicians, and changed the sound of popular music. While his instruments soared, Fender spent his life in Fullerton, looking for ways to make his great creations even better. In this 10th anniversary year of the Leo Fender Gallery, we celebrate the man by taking a fresh look at his life, work and lifetime of inventiveness.
