Meet Our Private Instructors! 

The tennis professional and client will agree upon a time in which the private lesson will take place. Please arrange the time with the instructor prior to registering for the lesson. 

Each tennis professional offers private lessons and sets their own fees.

Meet Brian Matek!

Brian's Background:

Brian started playing tennis at the age of fourteen, playing doubles with his father and mother at the local tennis club. He played four years of varsity tennis for Upland High School. He made the final sixteen in CIF in doubles three times. After high school, he attended Saddleback College for two years. Here, he earned All - American honors in doubles twice, and won the team championship, his sophomore year. After Saddleback, he earned a tennis scholarship to Vanguard University where he played two singles, and one doubles. His team finished top fifteen in the Country and competed at the N.I.A National Championship. After college, Brian played semi-pro tournaments around California, Texas, and Oregon. He began teaching tennis at the Uplands Tennis Club for thirteen years and has been at the Fullerton Tennis Center for the past fifteen years where he currently teaches private lessons, adult clinics, and junior clinics. He still holds national rankings in the fifty and over division, husband, and wife and 5.0 doubles. He is married and his wife and children compete in USTA tournaments as well.

Meet Ron Charles! 

Ron's Background:

Growing up Ron was a top ranked junior. Trained at the prestigious IMG Tennis Academy. Played varsity high school tennis and was a CIF champion. Received a scholarship to play division II collegiate tennis for 4 years at Cal Poly Pomona. His last year Ron was named Senior Player of the year. Ron has over 30 years of coaching experience. He currently trains Juniors to play USTA, and UTR sanctioned tournaments to go on to high school tennis Junior and Varsity level. Ron also started a Junior Team Tennis at Fullerton Tennis Center with many reaching Regional and Sectional championships.

Meet Nicole Escamillo!

Nicole's Background:

With over 10 years of competitive tennis experience, including four years playing at the collegiate level where she served as captain of the women's team. Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to coaching. Regionally ranking in both singles and doubles. Nicole combines high level playing experience with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology to offer a well-rounded coaching approach. Nicole has been coaching privately for four years, works with players of all ages, and tailors training to meet individual goals. Nicole is a passionate about developing both technical skills and mental toughness and is dedicated to helping players reach their full potential on and off the court.
