The City of Fullerton Parks & Recreation department is hosting the 2025 Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony, honoring those who have served our country, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The parade begins at Harbor Blvd and Ellis Pl. at 9:00 a.m.  The parade participants march north on Harbor Blvd and culminate at the Hillcrest Park Great Lawn at 1200 N. Harbor Blvd.

The ceremony to honor those who served their country through military service will be held next to the War Memorial at 10:00 a.m.  The ceremony will include placement of wreaths, patriotic solos by Haley Copello, a gun salute by the Fullerton Police Department, and the playing of "Taps."  The event is free and all are welcome to attend.

This year's keynote speaker will be CPT Nelson Laracuente Commander, who has commanded Able Company, 1st Battalion, 160th Infantry Regiment since October 2023.  Enlisting in 2015, he served as a Chemical Equipment Mechanic before commissioning in 2018 through Officer Candidate School.  CPT Laracuente’s officer assignments have included service as a Mechanized Infantry Platoon Leader from 2019-2020, Heavy Weapons Platoon Leader in 2021, Company Executive Officer from 2021-2022, Battalion Operations Plans Officer from 2022-2023 and Current Operations Officer at 40th Infantry Division from 2024-2025.  Tours overseas and many civil support operations in California have shaped CPT Laracuente’s career with an imperative to put Soldiers first.  He resides in Glendale, CA with his wife, dog, and cat, while pursuing a Doctorate in Education at USC.

Parade participants are asked to arrive at the 124 Ellis Pl. Parking Lot no later than 8:00 a.m. To march in the parade, veterans must be able to march in regular cadence for approximately half of a mile. No children or pets can accompany marchers as the parade is next to a live traffic lane. No banners other than the flags carried by the JROTC units will be allowed in the parade.
