FULLERTON’S 2025 STATE OF THE CITY

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, community members, civic leaders, local businesses, and many more came together at the beautiful Summit House Restaurant for the 2025 State of the City event, hosted by Mayor Fred Jung. The event highlighted Fullerton’s achievements over the past year and underscored a shared commitment to continued progress.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Keynote Speaker: Joe Hurley, Sprouts Farmers Market

  • Joe Hurley shared valuable insights into Sprouts’ mission to promote healthy living and community wellness. He discussed the company’s ongoing efforts to expand access to fresh, affordable food in it's distribution center located in Fullerton and beyond.

Keynote Speaker: David S. Kim, The Bascom Group

  • David S. Kim offered a forward-thinking perspective on smart city growth, infrastructure development, and regional partnerships. His remarks emphasized the importance of innovation, sustainability, and long-term planning for Fullerton’s continued success.

Spotlight on Legacy Business: Happy Jewelers

  • Gabe Arik, Co-founder of Happy Jewelers, reflected on his family’s decades-long history in Fullerton and their deep roots in the community. His remarks highlighted the enduring value of local entrepreneurship and family-owned businesses in shaping the City's identity.

2025 Community Hero Award: Kayla’s Cake

  • Kayla’s Cake was recognized with the 2025 Community Hero Award for their dedication to community engagement and philanthropy. Kayla Cake's commitment to giving back continues to make a meaningful difference in the Fullerton community.

Mayor Fred Jung’s Address

  • Mayor Jung delivered a comprehensive address reflecting on key accomplishments in economic development, infrastructure modernization, sustainability, and public safety. He emphasized Fullerton’s forward momentum and expressed gratitude for the many partners helping to shape the City’s future.
