Independent Financial Audit

The City of Fullerton has released the results of an independent financial audit conducted to review elements of the City’s budgeting process and communications to the City Council for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. What’s Happening with Fullerton’s Budget

Like many California cities, Fullerton is dealing with a structural budget gap: the cost of providing City services is growing faster than the revenue coming in. This fiscal reality developed over time and is not the results of a single event or decision. Now, the City is at a point where action needs to be taken to close the gap, and we want your opinion on the path forward.

 Community Budget Discussions

To engage residents in part of the decision-making process, the City held two community budget discussions in July. These meetings provided residents with an opportunity to hear directly from City leadership, learn more about the City's financial outlook, ask questions, and share their priorities for the future of Fullerton.

• Budget Community Meeting #1 - Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the Main Library Conference Center, 353 West Commonwealth Avenue.

• Budget Community Meeting #2 - Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the Hunt Branch Library, 201 South Basque Avenue.
