To promote fiscal transparency, the City of Fullerton provides its budget documents and financial reports available to its residents and community at-large on its website. Below provides information on the City’s Operating Budget, which is its chief financial plan that summarizes use of city resources (taxpayer dollars & all revenues) for our municipal services the City offers to the community for the fiscal year. The City operates on a fiscal year (FY) basis, starting on July 1st and ending on June 30th of every year.
FY 2026-27 Budget Development
The development of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 Operating Budget for the City of Fullerton has officially begun. Throughout the Budget Development process, to promote civic participation, the City will hold a number of meetings to offer residents, business residents and visitors or patrons the opportunity to submit valuable community input on the City's Proposed Operating and Capital Improvements Budget.
- Budget Community Meeting (s) -The City is happy to invite the Community to learn and provide input on the City's Budget. Residents that are interested are encouraged to attend the Community Meetings to learn more about the Budget that shapes our community.
- Budget Community Meeting #1 - The first Budget Community Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 5:30 pm located at the Main Library Conference Center.
- Budget Community Meeting #2 - The second Budget Community Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 5:30 pm at the Hunt Library.
- Budget Study Session - The Budget Study Session on the FY 2026-27 Proposed Operating Budget will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 5:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
- Budget Adoption Meeting - A public hearing to formally adopt the FY 2026-27 Proposed Operating Budget and Schedule of Fees and Charges will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, scheduled for 5:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
