
Prohibited at all times
- Water Loss
- From breaks, leaks, or from other malfunctions in plumbing or distribution
- It's prohibited to permit loss for any period of time after such loss of water should have reasonably been discovered and corrected
- Water Runoff
- From landscaped areas into, but not limited to, adjoining streets, sidewalks, or other paved areas.
- Due to
- excessive watering
- or to incorrectly-directed or incorrectly-maintained sprinklers
- Decorative Fountains and similar aesthetic structures
- Water cannot be used to clean, fill, or maintain levels
- Exceptions
- Unless water is part of a recycling system
- Washing Mobile Equipment
- Including motor vehicles, trailers, boats, and other types of mobile equipment
- Washing should be done only with a hand-held water container
- Exceptions
- A hose equipped with a positive shut-off nozzle for quick rinses
- Washing done at the immediate premises of a commercial car wash or with reclaimed water
Effective September 2009, the following uses of water are prohibited:
- Installation of single pass cooling systems in buildings requesting new water connections; and,
- Installation of non-recirculating systems in new conveyor car wash systems and new commercial laundry systems.
