The Fullerton Public Works Department protects the community's investments in its infrastructure - the streets, buildings, parks, and other facilities that belong to all Fullerton residents. Public Works provides enhanced coordination of the three major components of the City's infrastructure: 1) design, 2) construction, and 3) maintenance services on City projects.
Public Works consists of two strategic sections:
Engineer: responsible for project design and construction; private development review; water system management and maintenance; and storm water compliance.
Maintenance: provides services to internal and external customers for street and landscape maintenance, building services, fleet management, and sewer operations. Maintenance section is also in charge of Airports operations.
By erasing the operational separation between engineering and maintenance, Public Works manages the City’s major assets in a cohesive effort from development through construction, and into the continuous maintenance phase. We create projects and programs that maximize return on the City’s investment in its infrastructure at 30, 50 and 100 year horizons.
