Through the efforts of the Parks and Recreation Department, the City of Fullerton Skatepark Ad Hoc Committee and the Fullerton Skateboard Association (FSA), a Fullerton-based community organization; the City Council unanimously voted to re-open the Fullerton skatepark.
The skatepark grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting was on June 16, 2012 and after a two-year closure, the park was again open to the skating public! The skatepark has been cleaned-up, re-painted and a number of other improvements to the park are planned for the future. In addition to normal police patrols, City volunteers are also regularly scheduled at the park to monitor activity and to assist in keeping the facility clean and in good repair.
Please make note that the Fullerton Skatepark, by City ordinance, is for skating only. Bikes and scooters are NOT allowed in the skatepark.
Citizens wishing to volunteer to their time to help monitor and maintain the skatepark are asked to contact the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department at (714) 738-6575 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to serve on the Skate Park Ad Hoc Committee which helps to keep the park in good shape now and plan for its future download an application packet here.
