The project site is a 4.79-acre site containing two separate parcels.  Parcel A is located at 600 West Commonwealth Avenue and Parcel B is located at 628 West Williamson Avenue.  The proposed project includes the development of two multi-story residential buildings, one on each parcel divided by Williamson Avenue. The buildings will vary in height from a low of two-stories at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Chestnut Place to a high of four stories along the railroad right-of-way.  The building on Parcel A will contain ground floor commercial uses along Commonwealth Avenue with residential units above while the building on Parcel B will be residential units.  Parking for each parcel is provided within a wrapped above-ground parking structure. The project The project includes a Zone Amendment, General Plan Revision, Major Site Plan and Mitigated Negative Declaration.

 Project Status

Planning Commission Meeting (9/28/2016) - The Planning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council approve the Mitigated Negative Declaration, General Plan Revision, Zone Amendment and Major Site Plan at their meeting on September 28, 2016.

City Council Meeting (1/17/2017) - The City Council voted to approve the Mitigated Negative Declaration, General Plan Revision and First Reading of the Ordinance to amend the zoning for the project.  The Major Site Plan was continued to the City Council meeting on March 7, 2017.  

City Council Meeting (2/7/2017) - The City Council voted to approve the Second Reading of the Ordinance to amend the zoning for the project.  

City Council Meeting (3/7/2017) - The City Council voted to approve the Major Site Plan for the development of multi-family residential development with ground floor commercial along Commonwealth Avenue.  The Major Site Plan was the final discretionary action required for this project.
