Serving on the "Fullerton Youth Investment" Committee will provide teens with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary for achievement in future endeavors such as leadership, organization skills and a positive work ethic. The FYI Committee will have the opportunity to interact with local business mentors, receiving guidance on starting a business. This teen committee will be responsible for producing "The Trading Place" fundraiser that will involve local businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs, as well as members of the Fullerton community.

Who: Fullerton teens in grades 8-12, with support from the Fullerton Parks & Recreation Department and Future in Humanity, a local non-profit.
What: The FYI Committee holds weekly meetings for which they must prepare agendas and follow standard voting procedures. Guest speakers will attend these meetings regularly, providing the teens with opportunities to learn from real-world experiences.
When: Thursdays, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Registration Information: FYI Committee positions are limited. Applications must be submitted and may be picked up at Fullerton City Hall, Parks & Recreation Department (basement floor) or obtained online at www.cityoffullerton.com.
