The City of Fullerton's Public Information Office is a division of the City Manager's Office. The primary function is to coordinate all external communication between the City and citizens. The Public Information Office is responsible for news releases, social media, community outreach, and general information management.

The Public Information Office works closely with the City Council, City departments, news media, the public and other government agencies to assist in building a more open and accessible city government. It is the City's official information outlet to media related inquiries.

The Police Department has a Public Information Officer that addresses police and crime related matters. You may call 714-738-6829 or visit the Fullerton Police website for further inquires.

2025-2026 City of Fullerton Holiday Closure Information

In observance of the upcoming holidays, Fullerton City Hall will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026.

In observance of the upcoming holidays, Fullerton City Hall will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026. City Hall will resume regular operating hours on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Please note the following information:

  • Graffiti removal and street sweeping services will continue as usual.
  • Street and park maintenance staff will continue to operate at a reduced rate. Divisions will work together to ensure services are delivered at an appropriate level.
  • Animal Care Services through OC Animal Care will continue to operate on a regular basis except for December 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
  • Street sweeping will not take place on December 24, 25, and 31, 2025 and on January 1, 2026.
  • Waste collection will not take place on December 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026. If your regular collection day falls on one of those dates, pickup will be delayed by one day.
    • Christmas tree pickup services will be available starting December 26th for three weeks. Republic Services recommends leaving Christmas trees next to carts for pickup at no charge; trees must be less than 6'. Please reference the Republic Services Holiday Schedule for additional information on proper tree disposal.

City Hall Closure Information

Public Works – Engineering public counters will be closed during the City Hall holiday closure. Applications for permits can still be submitted at pwpermits@cityoffullerton.com. Applications will be reviewed once City Hall reopens on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Utility Billing and Water Service - During the City Hall Winter Closure, Utility Services staff will not be onsite.

  • Water shutoffs for non-payment will not occur prior to the closure. Only new account activations will require service.
  • To make a water payment by phone please use the City’s new virtual pay-by-phone system: (877) 768-8795.
  • In-person water payments may be made at the Fullerton Community Center during limited hours:
    • December 26–27: Open 10 AM–3 PM
    • December 28: Closed
    • December 29–30: Open 10 AM–3 PM
    • December 31–January 1: Closed
    • January 2: Open 10 AM–3 PM
    • January 5: Normal business hours resume
  • For New Water Service Activations please request service turn-ons online at: www.cityoffullerton.com/waterturnonIf you are unable to complete the request online, please call: Police Dispatch – (714) 738-6801 (assistance with new water service only).

Maintenance Yard Closure Information

Fullerton’s maintenance yard front counter will be closed to the public during the scheduled holiday closure. Residents calling the maintenance line at (714) 738-6897 will be directed to Police Dispatch for emergencies.

Public Safety Information

  • For police, fire, or life-threatening emergencies, call 9-1-1.
  • Non-emergencies can be reported by calling the Fullerton Police Non-Emergency line at (714) 738-6700.
  • The Fullerton Fire Department and the Fullerton Police Department will continue to serve the public throughout the holiday closure.
