Fullerton’s First Night 2025: A New Year’s Eve Celebration for the Whole Family

FULLERTON, Calif. – The City of Fullerton is excited to announce the return of First Night 2025, the city’s beloved New Year’s Eve celebration. This family-friendly event will take place on December 31, 2024, from 7:00 PM to midnight in the heart of historic Downtown Fullerton. Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to join the festivities, which promise an unforgettable evening of live entertainment, exciting attractions, delicious food, and community fun.

This year’s event will feature several highlights, including a Ferris wheel offering breathtaking views of Downtown Fullerton and a Snow Lane that transforms the area into a magical winter wonderland. Live music will fill the night, with performances by The Dreamboats (50s & 60s rock and swing), Tania y su Nueva Era (Latin), Electric Vinyl (80s rock), Soundbyte (R&B, disco, Latin, and swing), and Lady Ivy (disco and dance). A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on site, offering delicious food options and unique local goods.

One of the most exciting features of First Night is the closure of Harbor Boulevard, allowing attendees to stroll freely through Downtown Fullerton’s charming historic storefronts, bars, and restaurants. This pedestrian-friendly experience adds to the festive atmosphere and makes First Night one of the most cherished traditions in the community.

“First Night is one of Fullerton’s most cherished traditions, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the New Year in the heart of our historic downtown,” said Mayor Nicholas Dunlap. “With new attractions like the Ferris wheel and snow lane, this year promises to be more magical than ever. We can’t wait to ring in 2025 with our incredible community.”

Pre-sale ride tickets are now available for purchase at the Fullerton Community Center. Pre-sale pricing offers discounted bundle options, providing an excellent opportunity to skip the lines and maximize your enjoyment of carnival rides, games, and attractions. Pre-sale tickets are available in-person only during the Community Center’s operating hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Ticket bundles will only be available for pre-sale, and all tickets sold on December 31 will be $1 each. Cash will not be accepted at the event.

The evening will culminate in a dazzling midnight fireworks display, marking the start of 2025 in spectacular fashion. Admission to First Night is free, and the event’s activities are designed for all ages.
