Now into its 44th year, “A Night in Fullerton” is the city’s annual celebration of the arts, and offers an evening of music, fine art, dance and drama programs at various locations around the community. Traditionally held in the spring, this year’s edition of “A Night in Fullerton” will be held from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Ashley Glass, special events coordinator for Fullerton, said the nonprofit citizens committee that presents the annual program voted to move the event to the fall because so many special events sponsored by local organizations, schools and colleges compete for citizens’ time during spring months. She added the committee believes the event will be a good anchor for the fall, which traditionally does not have many city-wide special events. She also noted the citizens committee “has prepared a new, more modern format for the event.” The city’s annual celebration of the arts, “A Night in Fullerton” offers free music, art and dance programs at numerous locations around the city. Sites include the award-winning Fullerton Museum Center, local art galleries and music conservatories, local colleges and universities, the Fullerton Public Library, and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center.
The program was established more than 40 years ago by volunteers to make citizens aware of the cultural opportunities available in their hometown, as well as focus a spotlight on talented local artists and performers.
The Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department assists the committee in presenting the event.
