Fullerton Police Officers Cleared

The Federal Court trial in the case of Veth Mam vs. City of Fullerton, et al., USDC Case Number SACV11-1242-JST, concluded today in the courtroom of Judge Josephine Staton Tucker. The jury of eight returned with a unanimous verdict in favor of the three Fullerton Police Officers who remained as defendants in the case. The jury found that there was no violation of the plaintiff's First and Fourth Amendment Rights and further that the plaintiff was not maliciously prosecuted for assaulting and battering one of the defendant officers.

Prior to the start of the trial, the court had dismissed other claims against the City of Fullerton and other defendants.
