Updated: 4/11/13: Residential Automated Collection: ADDITIONAL SATURDAY SERVICE – Because of the success in catching up in both commercial and industrial collection, we will be collecting residential automated containers on Saturday. We will have the entire residential fleet working the “Tuesday Route” on Saturday. In driving through a number of streets, the residents have in many cases left the containers out for collection. We are now informing residents that Saturday collection is available if they wish to place their cans out for service. Please have your trash bins out by 7:00 am on Saturday. Note: We understand that a number of residents are holding trash for next Tuesday. We will collect all trash including bagged trash both Saturday and next Tuesday that is placed next to the automated containers.
Update: 4/9/13: The "Sympathy Strike" is over. Residential trash collection resumes today (Wednesday). Residential customers who were scheduled for pick-up services yesterday (Tuesday) would be asked to store and bag any extra trash in plastic garbage bags and put it out on their next regularly scheduled collection day. MG Disposal will then collect all trash next week, including any extra bags placed next to the automated containers.
MG Disposal is prioritizing and working around the clock to restore the regular collection by bringing in help from other areas and using management personnel to service routes on an interim basis.
