Kid's Fishing Derby

Start an annual tradition and join us for the 3rd annual Kid's Fishing Derby. Many families experienced a relaxing and successful day catching their first fish at Laguna Lake in 2008. Take advantage of learning stations and lunch for all participants. Fishing gear will be available to use for those who go through the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) fishing stations.

Registration starts February 2nd. Register early to guarantee a spot! Only children are allowed to fish during these hours. This event will sell out! (Date subject to change)

Saturday, April 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Laguna Lake

Located at 3120 Lakeview Dr. (just east of Euclid St.) in northern Fullerton. Park in one of the two lots or in the equestrian dirt parking lot.

Schedule of Events

• 7:30 a.m. – Registration & DFG Learning Stations
• 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Fishing Derby
• 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch and Raffle

Registration - (Starting February 2)

• Free t-shirts to the first 400 kids pre-registered.
• Free (Register early to guarantee a spot)
  Space is limited to 800 persons, and early registration is recommended.
• Register by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at (714) 738-6575.
• Parents of children requiring special accommodations to participate in the event are asked to notify the department staff at the time of registration.
