Please note: The Fullerton Pooch Park is on Fullerton City property and provided to the community on a trial basis. The City will monitor the park for up to one year to determine its permanent use. To ensure the permanent status of the park, please make sure you follows all the rules and regulations. Let's work together to keep Pooch Park! USERS OF THIS FACILITY DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK - Owners and handlers are legally responsible for their dog(s) and any injuries caused by them.
- Dogs with spiked, pinch and shock collars are not allowed.
- All dogs must have current licenses and required vaccinations, and be wearing a flat collar with visible county-registered dog tag.
- Dogs must be off-leash once entering the dog park area.
- There are designated areas for small and large dogs. Please use the appropriate area for your dog(s).
- Puppies under four months old are not permitted inside the park.
- Dogs in heat, pregnant or lactating are not permitted inside park.
- Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals shall be immediately removed from the park by the handler. Dogs known to exhibit aggressive behavior are not permitted.
- Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the park, including within the park parking lot.
- Dogs are not allowed to dig. Please fill any holes dug by your dog(s).
- Dogs can not be left in a vehicle without close supervision.
- Abandonment of animals is prohibited and is punishable by law.
- Dogs are not allowed in the library.
- Handlers must be at least 18 years of age. Visitors under 18 are not permitted in the park without a supervising adult, and must stay within arm’s reach of their adult.
- Owners and handlers are legally responsible for their dog(s) and any injuries caused by them.
- Handlers may not bring more than three (3) dogs at any one time.
- Handlers must stay within the park and supervise their dog(s) at all times and may not leave their dog(s) in the park unattended at any time.
- Handlers must keep close visual and physical contact with their dog(s) at all times. Dog handlers must be fully capable with both hands free to supervise and control their dog(s) at all times.
- Handlers must have one leash in their possession for every dog they bring to the park. No leashes/leads longer than 6 feet are allowed. No retractable leashes are allowed.
- Handlers must remove and properly dispose of all dog waste in the provided receptacles.
- The off-leash dog areas are for dogs, their handlers and those accompanying them. No other use is allowed.
- No strollers are allowed in the off-leash areas.
- All food and drinks, except bottled water, are strictly prohibited in the off-leash areas.
- The following items are NOT ALLOWED in the off-leash areas:
- laptops
- scooters
- bicycles
- roller-skates
- skateboards
- children’s toys — especially squirt guns and/or water-squirting toys
- Please remember this is a dog park, not a children’s playground.
- Small/young children are at risk for accidental injury and/or upset in an off-leash
- dog environment.
- No horseplay of any kind.
- No climbing on trees or fences.
Violators of the above-mentioned rules and regulations will be subject to removal from the park and possible suspension of park privilege. The City and the Fullerton Dog Park Foundation are not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged anywhere in the park or parking lot.
