Public comment will be allowed on items on this Agenda at the time each item is considered.

Persons addressing the Commission shall be limited to 5 minutes, unless an extension of time is granted by the Chairman, subject to approval of the Commission. When any group of persons wishes to address the Commission, it shall be proper for the Chairman to request that a spokesman be chosen to represent the group.

Public comments will also be allowed on items NOT on the agenda, but within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission, prior to approval of the Minutes, and will be limited to thirty minutes and not to exceed five minutes per person. No one will be heard twice. Any public comments not received at the beginning of the session may be heard at the end of the session. NO action may be taken on off-agenda items, except as provided by law.

1. MINUTES OF THE JUNE 13, 2005 REGULAR MEETING

   Recommendation to approve the Minutes of the June 13, 2005 regular meeting.

2. KIWANIS CLUB LEASE AT 410 S. RICHMAN AVENUE

   A Contracts Review Subcommittee recommendation not to renew the Citys lease with the Kiwanis Club and that both the Commission and City Council approve the Subcommittees recommendation.

INFORMATION ITEMS (Items 3 - 8)

3. PLAYGROUND SAFETY MEASURES

   A verbal update will be presented regarding the closure of the Fullerton Sports Complex playground.

4. SUMMER CONCERTS AT THE SPORTS COMPLEX

   Cultural and Special Events Division staff will provide an overview of the upcoming Summer Concerts.

5. LANDSCAPE DIVISION MONTHLY REPORT FOR JUNE 2005

6. DIRECTORS UPDATE

   • Proclamation by City Council of July as Parks and Recreation Month

   • Council action on proposed Tennis Center renovations

   • Council action on Engineering/Parks and Recreation Laguna Lake Restoration Project Funding/Budget Transfer

   • Sports Field Users Meeting June 29th

   • Possible change of September Commission meeting date

7. REPORT ON CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS

   • Approved renewal of agreement with Major League Softball, Inc

   • Approved use agreement between Izaak Walton League of America and the City for the Izaak Walton Cabin in Hillcrest Park

   • Approved Amendment No. 2 to the license agreement for vehicle parking in Amerige Park with the Roman Catholic Bishop of Orange County

   • Authorized the Director of Parks and Recreation to execute an agreement with Purkiss rose-rsi for consultant services for the Valencia Park, Byerrum Park and Adlena Park Rehabilitation Project
