No reservations are necessary

Parents with Toddlers or Preschoolers can join FMC docents for books, songs and hands on art for our youngest museum visitors, themed around the museum's current exhibit, Rubber Sole, Canvas Upper: The Art of Sports Shoes.

Wednesday Art Studio
Wednesdays, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Fall Session: September 24 through October 15 and October 29 through November 19

Students in grades 1-6 can create original artwork in a variety of media in this loosely structured, highly individualized art studio. A variety of art materials will be explored in this fun after-school program. Pre-paid registration is required. Please call the museum to register. $85 per child / $70 for Museum members.


Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours
are just around the corner! Explore Fullerton’s ghostly history in this 2½ hour guided tour of the downtown. Bring comfortable walking shoes and a sense of adventure! This tour is not recommended for children under 13.


Wednesdays and Thursdays

$15 museum members, $18 non-members

Guitar Gateways
Tuesdays, September 16 through December 2
Session A (beginning) 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Session B (intermediate) 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 will participate in 12 weeks of class guitar, private lessons, guided practice, and mini courses in music theory, history, and art. Instruments are provided for each student to take home with a refundable deposit. Tuition is $180 and includes a Family Membership to the Fullerton Museum, lesson books, and art materials for the program. Eric Ray, instructor.

Project Discovery

A year-round school and community group tour program. Tours include participatory experiences for students in the museum gallery and a reinforcement of the education concepts through the hands-on art activity. Program is available Tues., Thurs., and Fri. mornings from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and is free to all schools in the Fullerton School District. There is a nominal fee of $3 per student for schools from outside the Fullerton School District.

Internships

Part-time unpaid internships for junior and senior high school students are available. Please contact Education Coordinator Aimee Aul at (714) 738-6545 for more information and to receive an application.


Docent Opportunities

Interested in giving school tours and working with children? Then becoming a museum docent is for you! A new docent class begins in October. Apply today by contacting education coordinator Aimee Aul for more information and to receive an application.
