As a part of the Transportation Center Parking Structure project, the Engineering Department, through its General Contractor, Bomel Construction Company, will be performing work on Harbor Boulevard which will include installation of a new traffic signal at the Harbor Boulevard/Santa Fe Avenue intersection and installation of pedestrian improvements on the BNSF bridge over Harbor Boulevard south of Santa Fe Avenue.
Work is expected to start at the end of January and completed by the end of February. The majority of work will be conducted during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with intermittent lane closures on Harbor Boulevard. Specific work on the BNSF bridge that requires complete closure of Harbor Boulevard between Commonwealth Avenue and Valencia Drive has been scheduled the nights of Sunday, January 29th, through Wednesday, February 1st, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Detour signing will be provided to minimize any inconvenience to businesses and the motoring public.
