"In essence, a city's General Plan serves as the blueprint for future growth and development." - Excerpt from the Introduction Element
The General Plan is an important document used by planners, elected officials and the public to guide future land use decisions. If you are unfamiliar with the scope and purpose of a General Plan, we encourage you to read the Introduction Element first.
In July, 2006, the City began the process of a Comprehensive Update to the General Plan. To learn more about the status and process, please visit our General Plan Update page.
In addition to letter-sized text pages, these documents contain many full-color exhibits created to be printed at a page size of 11x17 inches. While you may print them in black-and-white or at a smaller scale, please be aware that some details may be lost if you do. To purchase color copies of the individual exhibits from the General Plan, please call (714)738-6561 or e-mail dianam@ci.fullerton.ca.us.
