Brief Description: New medical office building to be constructed on the west side of Harbor Blvd., across the street from St. Jude Hospital at 2151 N. Harbor Blvd. Proposed construction would include a new 4 story medical office building approximately 98,000 square feet in size and 72 feet in height, to be attached to the south side of the existing office building on site. Also proposed is a new 9 level parking structure (2 levels underground and 7 levels above ground), approximately 80 feet in height. (Draft and Final EIR documents are posted below.)
Current Status (1/10/08): The project was approved by City Council on December 4, 2007. Construction drawings are under plan check review at this time. This phased construction project will continue through 2030.
Past Status ReportsCurrent Status (11/28/07): Planning Commission meeting November 14, 2007: Planning Commission made a recommendation to the City Council to approve the St. Jude Plaza Project (PRJ06-00091), including the following applications: LRP06-00001 to rezone the southerly portion of the property from C-2 (General Commercial) to SPD (Specific Plan) LRP06-00002 to amend the Specific Plan applicable to the northerly portion of this property on which the Plaza MOB #1 is located, and to apply the provisions of the amended Specific Plan to the entire 3.11 acre property LRP06-00003 to revise the Citys General Plan to allow a 1.35 floor area ratio (FAR) for this site TPM 2007-133 to consolidate several parcels into a single parcel and to clarify easements present on the property ZON07 00011 to allow the proposed development to occur in accordance with the proposed site plan City Council hearing is scheduled for December 4, 2007.
