The Community Development Department’s function is to ensure orderly and safe development within Fullerton and provide for future growth. Four Divisions provide the following services:

• Administration and enforcement of the City's Zoning Ordinance, General Plan, and adopted Uniform Building Codes
• Review of new development and construction projects
• Plan checking, permit issuance and construction inspection services
• Respond to complaints about poor living and/or working environments within the City
• Provide grant and home improvement assistance to the public
