MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE FULLERTON PLANNING COMMISSION
COUNCIL CHAMBERS - FULLERTON CITY HALL
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14, 1998 4:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sandoval at 4:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Chairman Sandoval; Commissioners Ballard, LeQuire, Munson (arrived late) Ranii and Simons
ABSENT:
Godfrey
STAFF PRESENT:
Director Dudley, Chief Planner Rosen, Redevelopment Operations Manager Galvan, and Recording Clerk Stevens
MINUTES:
MOTION by Commissioner Ranii, seconded and CARRIED unanimously by voting members present, that the Minutes of the September 23, 1998, meeting be APPROVED AS WRITTEN.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
- ITEM NO. 1a
AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE ORANGEFAIR AND CENTRAL FULLERTON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
- Staff report dated October 14, 1998, was presented pertaining to a request to recommend to the Fullerton Redevelopment Agency that the proposed amendment to the redevelopment plans for the Orangefair Redevelopment Project and the Central Fullerton Redevelopment Project conform to the general plan.
Redevelopment Operations Manager Galvan was present to answer any Commission questions.
The reading of the title of Resolution No. 6802 RECOMMENDING to the Fullerton Redevelopment Agency of the conformity of the proposed amendment to the Orangefair Redevelopment Plan with the General Plan, was waived. The reading of the title of Resolution No. 6803 RECOMMENDING to the Fullerton Redevelopment Agency of the conformity of the proposed amendment to the Central Fullerton Redevelopment Plan with the General Plan, was waived. MOTION by Commissioner Ballard, seconded and CARRIED unanimously by voting members present, that said Resolutions be ADOPTED AS WRITTEN.
OTHER MATTERS
Redevelopment Operations Manager Galvan gave a brief report on the community workshop for the Urban Rail Project and distributed flyers to the Commission. This workshop is sponsored by the OCTA and will provide information regarding the Fullerton alignment.
Commissioner LeQuire gave a brief update on the status of the City's fire service committee. He is the Planning Commission representative to this committee, which will study long-range planning for the fire service.
REVIEW OF COUNCIL ACTIONS
Chief Planner Rosen gave a brief report on recent City Council meetings.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
There was no one present who wished to speak on any matter within the Commission's jurisdiction.

The next regularly-scheduled meeting will be October 28, 1998, at 4:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:14 p.m.
