JANUARY 26, 2005

Persons addressing the Planning Commission shall be limited to 10 minutes unless an extension of time is granted by the Chairman, subject to approval of the Planning Commission. When any group of persons wishes to address the Commission, it shall be proper for the Chairman to request that a spokesman be chosen to represent the group.

Public comment will be allowed on agenda items at the time the item is considered.

Public comment will be allowed on matters not appearing on the agenda but within the Planning Commission's jurisdiction, at the end of the agenda. No action may be taken on off-agenda items except as provided by law.

The Planning Commission's approval or denial of any action on this agenda shall become final and effective ten days after its decision unless an appeal is made in writing within this ten-day period to the City Council by either an applicant or an opponent. The filing of an appeal within such time limit shall stay the effective date of the order of the Planning Commission until such time as the City Council has acted on the appeal. Anyone interested in making an appeal should contact the Development Services Department for assistance.

A request to abandon a 15-foot wide and 64.06-foot deep City-owned alley to the underlying in fee property owners on property located at 819 North Richman Avenue (west side of Richman Avenue, between approximately 278 and 293 feet south of Glenhaven Avenue) (R-1-7.2 zone) (Categorically exempt under Section 15312 of CEQA Guidelines) (AKU).

  1. PRJ04-00129 ZON04-00120. APPLICANT: CHIN LEE; PROPERTY OWNER: SAI R. PARK. A request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate an adult day health care center in a converted office building, including a 1,846-square-foot addition to the existing building, on property located at 1309 West Valencia Drive (generally, 560 to 740 feet east of Basque Avenue) (O-P zone) (Categorically exempt under Section 15301 of CEQA Guidelines) (HSO).

  1. PRJ04-00109 ZON04-00116. APPLICANT AND PROPERTY OWNER: NATHAN KVETNEY. A request for a zoning adjustment for a maximum 10% reduction in the number of parking stalls (reducing the required parking by one stall) for an approximately 1,900-square-foot general office to facilitate the conversion of an existing carport into office space on property located at 2001 East Chapman Avenue (O-P zone) (Categorically exempt under Section 15301 of CEQA Guidelines) (HSO).

    • A request for an abandonment of approximately 180 feet of North Raymond Avenue located north of Smokewood Avenue
