Elections

The City Clerk is the local elections official and coordinates with the County of Orange to conduct municipal elections. Duties of the elections official include:
• Prepare necessary resolutions calling for general and special municipal elections
• Declare election results
• Coordinate the candidate nomination process
• Receive and process initiative, referendum, and recall petitions

A five member City Council represents the City of Fullerton.  Voting residents elect the members of the City Council on an at-large basis to four-year terms.  Fullerton consolidates its General Municipal Elections with the Statewide General Elections held on the first Tuesday of November of even numbered years to fill expired City Council terms and conducts the non-partisan elections in accordance with the California Elections Code and local regulations.
