The City of Fullerton is in the process of applying for consideration in the “Google Fiber for Communities” Program in which plans to build and test ultra-high-speed broadband networks in select communities. The networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than most provider services today, with 1 gigabit per second fiber connections.

The City would also encourage citizens and organizations to make their own videos endorsing the City’s application to Google for posting on You Tube with the tag "#FullertonFiber". City staff will then review the videos and make recommendations for linking them to the City’s website.
