Building

City launches 'green' building fee waiver program

Beginning July 1, the city will implement its new “Building Fee Waiver Program” for “green” (environmentally sustainable) projects.

Types of “green improvements” included in the fee waver program include tankless domestic water heaters, skylights approved by the California Energy Commission, renewable energy systems, and installation of solar panels, high-performance windows, waterless urinals, and photo voltaic solar systems.

Information on the new “green” building permit fee waiver program may be obtained by calling the Building Division of the Community Development Department at (714) 738-6541.
