|Fullerton, Ca – On Saturday, April 5th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Fullerton Public Library and Fullerton Sunrise Rotary will be hosting a job fair in the Fullerton Public Library Community Room. Pre-registration for mock interviews and resume reviews begin at 9:30 a.m. leading up to the panel discussion at 10 a.m. Bring your resume and come dressed to impress because there will be a resume review and mock interviews to ensure that you will be ready for future employers. |
At this event, you can discover job and internship opportunities, practice your interviewing skills, and get your resume reviewed. Those in attendance will be Career Experts from Employment Development Department's Youth Employment Opportunity Program, Anaheim Workforce Development, YWCA’s Youth Employment Services, City of Fullerton’s Parks and Recreation, A to Z Database, Score Small Business, City of Fullerton Human Resources, Orange County Conservation Corps and Charter School, Orange County One-Stop Center, VetNet, Volunteer Match, and Working Wardrobes.
"We believe it is important for youth and adults to find jobs. A good work ethic will take any person a long way. We hope this job fair motivates people to find more jobs and internships," says Shirley Ku, Librarian at the Fullerton Public Library. “Job fairs expose you to opportunities that you may not find. This is a great opportunity you do not want to miss!”
After pre-registration at 9:30, a panel discussion will start at 10 a.m. in the Osborne Auditorium with job experts from some of the organizations in attendance. They will discuss job hunting in today’s economy, what to do if you’re not a STEM person, how you get your foot in the door and more! A to Z Database will follow this discussion panel with a 15 minute presentation of how their free database can help you find your next job.
