|Fullerton, CA - Everything from rhythm and blues to swing will be in the spotlight Thursday, September 19, when the band "Soundbytes" returns to the outdoor Fullerton Market.|
The popular market, now in its 22nd year of operation, is open from 4-8:30 p.m.,
and offers farm-fresh produce, flowers, fresh-baked breads, arts and crafts, food vendors, and live entertainment.
The market also features a beer and wine garden for adults and a Kids' Korner, which offers special activities to keep children happy while their parents shop.
During warm weather, the Plaza’s pop jet fountain provides a great cooling-off spot for youngsters who are welcome to wear their swim suits.
Admission to the market is free
Popular on the Southland music scene for years, “Soundbytes” has been the backup band for Wayne Brady’s television show “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” The group has also performed for Princess Cruises, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers, and lead singer Shari Doran has appeared nationwide as Eva Peron in the musical “Evita.” They performed at the Fullerton Market earlier this year in May.
“Soundbytes” will perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Fullerton Market is located in the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue, adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center.
Parking for Fullerton Market may be found in any of the free downtown lots, or in the parking structures at Wilshire (enter from Harbor); Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue; and in the Transportation Center on Pomona and Santa Fe Avenue.
Visitors to Fullerton Market will also be able to tour the award-winning Fullerton Museum Center, which offers a special reduced admission rate of $2 per person from 4-8 p.m. on market days the first Thursday of every month.
Further information about Fullerton Market may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.
Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the market are asked to notify the museum staff prior to coming to the market.
