Fullerton, Ca –  Tips on how to introduce worms into home composting systems will be the focus of a special free workshop on home composting set for Saturday, March 30, 2013.

The workshop, co-sponsored by the City of Fullerton and the Fullerton Arboretum, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Fullerton Arboretum, 1900 Associated Road, on the campus of California State University, Fullerton.

The 90-minute workshop will focus on how worms in composting systems can produce a rich "fluffy" soil that works wonders in gardens.

The class instructor will be Jonathan Duffy Davis, the farmer who also manages the Arboretum's composting program.

The workshop is free to Fullerton residents.  In addition, discount vouchers for the purchase of state-of-the-art compost bins will be available for Fullerton residents.  Limit one per household.

Registration for the workshop and further information may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Arboretum at (657) 278-7548 or the Arboretum website: www.fullertonarboretum.org.

Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the workshop are asked to notify the Arboretum staff when registering.
