Parents searching for ways to keep their kids happy - and busy – while schools are out for the extended Thanksgiving holiday need look no further than Fullerton’s landmark Hillcrest Park!
The Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department is offering a special Fall Day Camp at Hillcrest Park Nov. 23-25.
Activities offered will include games, crafts, sports, and excursions to “Scooters Jungle” in Placentia and the IMAX Theatre at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
Two camp options will be offered: a regular day session that will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and an extended day session that will be offered from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Campers will be divided into two age groups: children 5-7 years and 8-12 years.
“Base camp” throughout the program will be the Hillcrest Park Recreation Center, 1155 N. Lemon St.
Fees for the special Thanksgiving session of “Camp Hillcrest” are $72 per week per child for the regular day sessions, and $108 per week per child for the extended day.
The fees include all program activities, materials and excursion costs. Campers are expected to bring a lunch daily.

Registration may also be obtained by coming to the department office in the basement of Fullerton City Hall, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave.
Registration must be completed in advance; no on-site registration will be accepted.
Parents of youngsters requiring special accommodations to participate in the camp are asked to notify the department staff at the time of registration.
