Don’t look now, but the holiday season is barreling down on us, bringing with it all the traditional foods, baked goods and sugary treats.
If you feel you need help in surviving the holidays without gaining pounds, the Fullerton Senior Multi Service Center may be able to help!
The center will host a “Healthy Holiday Cooking” workshop on Thursday, Oct. 22, featuring registered dietician Taylor Smith.
The workshop, which will begin at 9:30 a.m., is free.
Smith will share practical ideas to show how you can prepare holiday foods that are healthy and tasty as the traditional favorites.
The free program is sponsored by the Talbert Medical Group.
Pre-registration is requested and may be made by coming to the senior center or by calling the center at (714) 738-6305.
The Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center is located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., three blocks west of Harbor Boulevard, in Amerige Park.
Persons requiring special accommodations to participate in the class are asked to notify the center staff prior to Oct. 22.
