The public is invited to attend a special reception at the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center Monday, Sept. 14, as the center joins its counterparts throughout the nation in observing “National Senior Center Month.”
The dance and ice cream social will begin at 2:30 a.m., and will include live entertainment provided by “The 5 Star Band.”
Information will also be available on the many activities, programs and services the center offers to older – as well as younger – adults to help enhance their wellness, educational, social and recreational experiences.
“There are many older adults and their families in this community who are not familiar with the various programs, activities and special events offered by the Fullerton Senior Multi-service Center,” said Eloisa Espinoza, center director.
“We hope they will visit the center during `National Senior Center Month’ and learn about the many ways we can help them get the most out of life.”
The Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center is located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., two blocks west of Harbor Boulevard, in Amerige Park.
Further information about center activities or the “National Senior Center Month” observance may be obtained by calling the center at (714) 738-6305.
Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the reception are asked to notify the center staff prior to Sept. 14.
