Managing your money to make sure it lasts can be a daunting and often confusing task.

But there is help on the horizon thanks to “It’s Your Money,” a free eight-week money management course being offered by the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center starting Thursday, Sept. 3.

The course, which will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursdays, will feature local financial experts who will answer questions and help participants gain confidence in controlling their finances.  Topics to be discussed include annuities, mutual funds, financial planning, long-term care insurance, equity investing, and fixed-income investing.

The sole purpose of the course is education – there will be no professional services or products sold or charitable solicitations sought.

Registration is required for the course, which is being offered by the center in cooperation with Professional Fiduciary Services.  Course cosponsors are the American Heart Association, Arthritis Foundation, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, KOCE-TV, Laguna Canyon Foundation, Laguna Playhouse, Ocean Institute, Orange County Community Foundation, St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and St, Jude Memorial Foundation.

Registration and further information may be obtained by calling the center at (714) 738-6305.

The Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center is located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., two blocks west of Harbor Boulevard, in Amerige Park.

Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the class are asked to notify the center staff prior to Sept. 3.
