Temporary road closures and "no parking" restrictions will be in force around the Fullerton High School campus Saturday, July 4, when the City of Fullerton presents its 20th Annual Community Fireworks Show and Festival.
The festival, which will be free to the public, will be held from 5-9:30 p.m. at the Fullerton High School Stadium, which is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Berkeley Avenue and Lemon Street.
Admission is free.
Entertainment, a live band, games and food booths will mark the event, which will be topped off by an aerial fireworks display set to music by Pyrospectaculars of Rialto at 9 p.m.
Two streets will be closed temporarily on the Fourth for the event: Lemon, between Chapman Avenue and east Valley View Drive, from 3:30-10 p.m.; and Berkeley, between Chapman and Harbor Boulevard, also from 3:30-10 p.m.
On July 4, east side of Pomona Avenue, between Chapman and Union Avenue, will be open to through traffic midnight July 3 through midnight July 4, but parking will not be allowed.
On-street parking will also be prohibited on Berkeley.
Free parking will be available at the Plummer Parking Structure, located at the southwest corner of Lemon and Chapman Avenue; the Wilshire Parking Structure, located on Wilshire Avenue, one block east of Harbor Boulevard; and the North Justice Center, 1275 N. Berkeley, west of Harbor.
Parking for the disabled is available at each of the above locations; however, if a disabled person needs to be dropped off near to the high school, he or she should go to the intersection of Chapman and Lemon where a police officer will let them in. Cars carrying disabled persons wishing to be dropped off at the school must display disabled placards in their windows.
