If you’re looking forward to attending the popular weekly outdoor “Fullerton Market,” which returns Thursday, April 2, but don’t know what to do with your children, here’s a suggestion:  Take them to the corner – the “Kids’ Korner,” that is.

The Kids’ Corner will offer a variety of fun activities especially designed for children.  While parents shop or relax and listen to the free entertainment, children can go on the always popular pony rides, “Kids’ Swings,” Moon Bounce, the Trackless Train, or have their faces painted.

Fullerton Market will be open from 4-8:30 p.m. Thursdays through October on the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue.

Now into its 18th year, the Market offers farm-fresh produce, flowers, fresh-baked breads, arts and crafts, entertainment, and a beer garden for adults.  In addition, new vendors are added each week.

Admission to the market is free.  Tickets for the children’s activities range from $2 to $4 and face painting and balloons are free of charge although a tip is appreciated.

Rides are subject to change and weather conditions.

Parking for the market may be found in any of the free downtown lots, or in the parking structures at Wilshire (enter from Harbor);  Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue;  and in the Transportation Center on Pomona and Santa Fe Avenue.

Further information about Fullerton Market may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.

Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the market are asked to notify museum staff prior to coming to the market.

Fullerton Market is sponsored by the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department.
