|Fullerton, Ca - Registration is now being taken for the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department's 8th Annual "Kid’s Fishing Derby" set for Saturday, April 5, at Laguna Lake Park.|
The fishing will begin at 8:30 a.m. with free Learning Stations with the Derby starting at 8:00 a.m. The event is free to children and their families. Children ages 3-15 are allowed to fish from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those in attendance may bring their own equipment or use equipment provided by the Department on Fish and Wildlife (DFW). After 1:00 p.m., the lake will be open to the public. Participants 16 and older are required to have a permit. Laguna Lake Park is located at 3120 Lakeview Drive, just east of Euclid Street.
Lunch will be available for purchase.
While the derby is free, pre-registration is required and may be made by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at (714) 738-6575. Registration may also be made online at www.fullertoneconnect.com.
We are looking for volunteers for the day of the event. Persons willing to help out are asked to call the Event Specialist at (714) 738-3338.
Parents of children requiring special accommodations to participate in the derby are asked to notify Parks and Recreation staff members when pre-registering their children for the event.
