Fullerton, Ca -- If your musical tastes run to rockabilly, honky-tonk and swing, you will want to be in downtown Fullerton Thursday, July 18, when the group "Hot Rod Trio" performs at the popular outdoor Fullerton Market.

The popular market, now in its 22nd year of operation, is open from 4-8:30 p.m., and offers farm-fresh produce, flowers, fresh-baked breads, arts and crafts, food vendors including Korean BBQ, and live entertainment.

The market also features a beer and wine garden for adults and a Kids' Korner, offering special activities to keep children happy while their parents shop. Kids will also enjoy the amenities of a bounce house, arts & crafts, balloon art, face painting and mini-train rides. During warm weather, the Plaza’s pop jet fountain provides a great cooling-off spot for youngsters who are welcome to wear their swim suits.

Admission to the market is free.

The “Hot Rod Trio” has been touring Southern California and the entire West Coast for more than 18 years. The group has been inducted into the “2nd Generation Rockabilly Hall of Fame” for its contribution to the musical genre.

The band will perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Fullerton Market is located in the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue, adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center.

Visitors to Fullerton Market will also be able to tour the award-winning Fullerton Museum Center, which offers a special reduced admission rate of $2 per person from 4-8 p.m. on Market Days, the first Thursday of every month.

Parking for Fullerton Market may be found in any of the free downtown lots, or in the parking structures at Wilshire (enter from Harbor); Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue; and in the Transportation Center on Pomona and Santa Fe Avenue.

Further information about Fullerton Market may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.

Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the market are asked to notify the museum staff prior to coming to the market.
