Contact :Fullerton City Manager’s Office    (714) 738-6317

Fullerton, Ca – On Saturday, February 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the City of Fullerton will host a “Clean Energy Day” to promote natural gas fuel and recycling with eWaste and paper shredding.

Kicking off “Clean Energy Day,” will be the ribbon cutting for the opening of the City’s first natural gas fueling center called, “EcoFuel CNG.” Located at the corner of Commonwealth and Basque Avenues, EcoFuel CNG will not only fuel the City’s natural gas fleet of vehicles but have 24/7 access to residents, businesses and neighbors wanting to fuel their CNG operated cars.

Mayor Bruce Whitaker declared, “Here in Fullerton, we are proud to join more than 100,000 vehicles in the US and roughly 11.2 million vehicles worldwide that use natural gas for fuel. Natural gas is the future…it is available domestically, it has widespread distribution, it is low cost compared with gasoline and diesel and it has clean-burning qualities as well.”

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the City will host free eWaste recycling and Paper Shredding services for residents and businesses at their Maintenance yard across the street.

The eWaste recycling is a service provided by M G Disposal and Paper Shredding is provided by Cintas Document Management.

“Clean Energy Day,“ added Mayor Whitaker, is an excellent example of how our citizens reap the benefits when businesses, utilities and city government partner together.”
